INTRODUCTION

“Driving positive change” is TSMC’s unwavering mission. To further enhance the sustainability and inclusiveness of the website, improve information transparency, and accumulate ESG knowledge for the public, TSMC launched a website redesign project.

The redesign focused on eight key aspects: User Experience Design, Web Development, Hosting & Infrastructure, Business & Product Strategy, Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Conformance. These improvements provided a more user-friendly interface. The primary goals were to reduce energy consumption and the website’s digital carbon footprint. The team introduced a dark mode interface for energy efficiency and adopted segmented data loading in the ESG database to prevent data overload, reduce computing costs, and improve the website’s sustainability. The website also enhanced accessibility for people with disabilities by including multilingual voice-reading features, reinforcing the commitment to a more sustainable and inclusive vision.
